How I Grade
How the grades work, and what they mean.
I wanted a simple system, like being back in school. I was a B+ student myself, so a B+ dish isn't one I disliked. It's probably something I enjoyed, just not the thing I'd tell you to build your order around. If a B+ dish sounds good to you, go for it.
Anything at A- or above is a full recommendation. Those are dishes I'd order again, and if a restaurant has an A or A- on its list, there's a good chance I'm going back for it.
Grades start with what I think, first and foremost. But I usually check in with whoever I'm eating with and factor in what they say too.
Anything below B- is a skip. And if a place has dishes landing in the C's or lower, I probably won't be back.
All of that said, this is my personal opinion. Like any kind of food reviewing, you might feel differently than I do.
